WASM since .Net 7 is super fast and send only tiny package to the browser if you code it right, splitting projects for SSR and WASM components looks kind of awkward to be honest, too much mess. This whole SSR hype is ridiculous. Just WASM it all for much rich and responsive experience.

I started with Classic ASP in the late 90s as well, so this really takes me back. I loved MVC, but was never productive with Web Forms. I had a terrible experience with JavaScript, and so Blazor finally coming on the scene was a huge deal for me. I love Blazor, but have had some pain points with it -- regarding render modes in .NET8 and needing to pivot from Server to WASM and running into difficulties there.

Love your video, and I had the same experience with Visual Studio over the years and moved to JetBrains Rider (paid product) that is MUCH faster and is fully feature packed as well. Whenever new major versions of Visual Studio come out, I install it (and then wind up removing it within minutes because just the lag while coding is enough for me to nope out!) And before anyone comments I need a better system, I am currently running the fastest Ryzen CPU with 128GB RAM and very clean install of Windows 11, and STILL have the same experience with lag and freezing. Microsoft, you could do much better! My advice, if you are a developer who essentially lives inside your IDE. Take the plunge, and get a much better solution. (note: I am not an employee of JetBrains, nor am I making any money promoting it here, I just want to share my experience)
